Proposal Details You and many other project managers and companies are invited to propose and develop an IT project planning that assists the business owners to achieve their goals. You have the option of choosing one of the two cases listed in Canvas site and defining the IT project scope and value. You should plan the proposed project. Some key questions to answer are:

o What is the problem? Why do you want to do this project? What are the benefits/values that it will bring? How are you going to solve the problem/s? what defines success?

Please note that you will be drawing from your life and/or industry experiences as well as from your university education in SPQM to write your proposal. It is also expected that you do appropriate research to understand the problem and seek solutions. Please note the quality of your proposed project will be assessed as the given explanation in brackets in italic format at the end of each point below. The project requirements are as below:

1. The proposal should present a unique project and creative and innovative IT related solution. The project value and benefit should be explained clearly. The project plan should include clarifying MOV (measurable organisational value) steps and justification of each step. The project and project management objectives and success should be clarified and explained in detail. List all assumptions which have been made in developing these requirements. (The quality of developed and discussed MOV, IT solution, projects value/benefit, and project and project management will be considered in assessing this section of the proposal.)

2. Use IT project management knowledge covered in this unit, clarify the project scope, estimated time, and estimated cost of this project. To estimate the time and cost, an appropriate approach should be selected and discussed accordingly. Develop a WBS in a tabular format and provide the following:

A. Identify required and specific activities and milestones. B. Estimated start and end dates for each activity, C. Identify required resources (including hardware, software, and or human resource) for each activity, D. Details of estimated cost for each activity, E. Total estimated time and cost, F. Identify dependencies and the CPM (Critical Path Method) for this project. G. A copy of the Gantt Chart should be submitted separately.

(The quality of scope development, accuracy of estimation methods and appropriate planning will be considered in assessing this section. You should use a Gantt Chart in table format to present the project plan in the word document and attach the Gantt chart separately.)

3. Finally, for the quality purpose ensure that youre referring to appropriate project management approach or methodology to plan this project appropriately. This approach should be consistent with activities in WBS. (The quality of discussion related to chosen approach/methodology will be considered in assessing this section which should be consistent with WBS.)

4. Develop a code of ethics for this project.

Guidelines Use any professional structure that fits your project better or simply use highlighted project requirements in this document.

One Word Document along with a copy of Gantt Chart (as a separate document) by the end of Week 6 Sunday 11:00pm.

Please appropriately cite and provide any references that you have used in developing the project proposal. Ensure that the word document has addressed the requirements of the project clearly. The word document should include all details of the Gantt Chart as required.
