provide a response to "I am trying to get my bachelors degree in psychology and eventually want to have a concentration in the field of Applied Behavioral analysis. This field actually has a huge overlap with statistics. I already work in the field as a behavioral therapist and it is a requirement to graph statistical data and predict outcomes for every session in order for it to be billable to insurance companies. The three topics I have chosen from this class to relate to my major and career will be descriptive statistics, data collection, and probability statistics. As far as descriptive statistics goes, this is incredibly helpful in the entire field of psychology. From everything from diagnostic tests to collecting data on behaviors, being able to describe what is going on and the patterns within the statistics is very helpful in measuring severity and progress of a psychiatric illness
