Psychology is a highly applicable and relevant field that prepares students for a variety of different career paths. on a specific career interest that you have right now (Nursing) and critically analyze the many ways in which this career incorporates important psychological concepts that you learned . To complete this assessment successfully, follow these steps:

1. Research your specific career interest and its many connections to the field of psychology. About the research incorporation process:

Select, review, and incorporate into this presentation four (4) or more scholarly sources. Incorporation of each source includes citing it in APA format (in-text citation) on the slide that it is discussed as well as providing a correct APA citation for the source in an APA References slide. A scholarly source could be, but is not limited to, the following:

The course textbook. Simply use and cite the entire course textbook.

Peer-reviewed journal article. Use the online CSP library databases to locate peer-reviewed journal articles that focus on the topic in some way.

Electronic source. Select an electronic source that addresses the topic in some way. An electronic source is a scholarly website article, such as a newspaper article, published online by an organization, newspaper, media source, etc., for the purposes of sharing news or information about a specific topic. Typically, it will include a title, an author, a date, and several paragraphs of text. Hint: Use Google to search for your topic, and then search by "News".

Acceptable Sources: Psychology Today, Reuters (reuters.com), World Health Organization (who.int), Centers for Disease Control (cdc.gov), American Psychological Association (apa.org), National Alliance on Mental Illness (nami.org), etc.

Unacceptable Sources: Any online journal article; Reference-type sources (Wikipedia or Wikis, Dictionaries, Encyclopedias, Very Well Mind, Simply Psychology, etc.).

2. Using your resources, prepare a response to each of the following talking points for your presentation:

o Introduce and discuss Nursing career. Discuss and critically analyze the education and preparation required, the salary range, and the job outlook. Include any other career elements that you find interesting and important. Share where students interested in the career may find additional support resources. Support this talking point with scholarly source attribution.

Make clear connections between the field of psychology and the specific career. Identify and expand on three (3) psychological concepts and/or theories that you learned about while taking this course. Next, elaborate on how each one is demonstrated in, and/or informs, the specific career. Support each of these connections with scholarly source attribution. o Suggest what additional reading, research, or skill-building in psychology may further prepare a student for this career-based on the psychological connections made. Identify two (2) specific and thoughtful suggestions. Some examples: "This career requires strong organizational skills, so I recommend the following app to help students become better organized..." Or, "This career can easily lead to burnout Course Syllabus Page 17 of 25 burnout. I can suggest a really good book to help protect against this issue..." Support this talking point with scholarly source attribution.

Identify one area of new or reinforced learning. Describe at least one new or reinforced aspect of learning from completing this presentation.
