Assuming both galena and silica as spherical particles. The densities of galena are 7500kgm-3 and that of silica is 2650kgm-3. The size distribution of each particle is given in Table 1. Use the graph in Figure 1 for the Reynolds number and drag force calculations.
Answer the following questions:
(i) Determine the diameter of galena and silica.
(ii) Find the percentage of each material carried away and left behind.
