Each of these smart devices has an interface that may be used to change its settings, to obtain the status of the device, and to send alarms when the device determines that a threshold setting has been reached, such as temperature is too low or motion is detected. Each device will have unique name, model number, identification number, IP address, and threshold values. Mr. Jones expects changes in the suite of devices so needs to be able to add and delete devices.
