Question 3: Maximum of 600 Words (exclude Impact/probability and risk matrices) The FIVE key performance indicators for an upcoming project to build 'The Eight Seas Explorer' are delivery on time, on budget, to the approved quality with zero EHS (Environment, Health and Safety) incidents, and delivery of anticipated benefits (i.e. Income from paying guests). (a) In your own words write down FIVE risks with at least ONE that might threaten each of the FIVE key deliverables and in addition write down ONE risk that might be regarded as a potential opportunity (positive risk). The risks should be expressed in no more than one sentence as you would expect them to appear in a risk register; They should nonetheless be complete and precise. As previously mentioned, greater credit will be given for original risks tailored to the Seven Seas Explorer rather than generic risks expressed in a way that might apply to any project. Note: An opportunity (positive risk) must still involve some degree of uncertainty. (b) Given an anticipated schedule of 3 years, a cost of 500 million US Dollars and a payback period of 10 years. Prepare a table showing how you would score these risks for impact (on a scale of 1 to 3) and a table showing how you would score probability (on a scale of 1 to 3). In describing the impact on quality, you will have to propose a suitable measure against which to assess the risks. Having done so score each risk and illustrate the risk profile using a 3 by 3 risk matrix. (c) In your own words critically discuss how you might seek to mitigate each of the FIVE risks and increase the likelihood/impact of the ONE opportunity which you identified in part (a) of this question. Re-score the risks and illustrate the risk profile with a revised 3 x 3 risk matrix
