A core theme of the course has been examining human resources' roles in supporting "game-changing" talent strategies, in which a key element is developing a "high-performance culture" (Ready, D. A., Hill, L. A., & Thomas, R. J., 2014).

We have discussed how HR leaders continue to rank change management as a top priority (Gartner 2023 HR Priorities Survey), and several of our case studies have highlighted the critical roles of HR in supporting organizational and culture change.

You are the CHRO of a 350-person organization that develops cloud-based customer relationship management (CRM) software for the hospitality industry. The company is facing performance challenges. Most of the executive management team has just been replaced, morale is low, and more drastic changes may be needed if things do not improve. You have been assigned to brief management on how HR will work to accelerate performance improvements and drive culture change.

Write an essay that details your planned approach and includes:

a. The performance management tools you will utilize

b. How you will change the "human side of the equation" which may include staff composition, skill levels, performance behaviours, engagement, and employee interactions

c. How key HR functions might be leveraged (which could include talent acquisition, compensation/rewards, employee development, etc.)

d. Any other human resources-related programs, policies or procedures you will use to drive performance and culture improvement
