However, communicating only through online can be a little bit more challenging compared to having a regular face-to-face meetings especially if you have to persuade your team members regarding a project proposal. Aside from that, having no authority can also add up to the challenge as it can be a little bit harder to establish your credibility with the team. Below are some possible steps to follow that may be of help in persuading your team:
Build credibility
Before anything else, it is important to gain the trust of the whole team in order for you to be able to persuade them. Credibility helps you become influential in whatever you do (Repolda,2019). To do this, you should always be transparent and consistent with your words. It is also important to be open to feedbacks.
