any treatment for the listed medical conditions. Having suppressed material information

from the insurance provider, his claim was rejected.

Section 17 of the Indian Contract Act, 1872, means and includes, inter alia, any of the

following acts committed by a party to a contract, with intent to deceive another party or

to induce him to enter into a contract1) The suggestion as to a fact of that which is not true by one who does not believe it to be

true.

2) The active concealment of a fact by one having knowledge or belief of the fact.

The LIC canceled the policy, Ravish Kumar sued the company for refund of the premium
