10.8 : Dear Ms. Kemp: This is in response to your letter of last week appealing your suspension as a printing vendor for City College because of non-compliance with the prevailing wage requirement. I have had both our administrative and legal staff review the circumstances surrounding the suspension, and they have recommended that it be reduced to 30 days. Their recom- mendation is based strongly on the fact that you were not the owner of the business when the violation occurred which resulted in your suspension. In addition, your letter of last week promised that you will be in compliance for all future jobs printed for City College. Since the letter informing you of the suspension was dated 33 days ago, this means that you are immediately reinstated as an approved vendor. My office, however, reserves the right to review future jobs performed by your company to ensure that you comply with the wage requirements and other requirements. If you have any questions or concerns about this action, please feel free to contact me.
PROBLEM: MY EDIT: PLEASE help edit off of this one:::
Dear Ms. Kemp,
This is in response to the appeal. Our team has reviewed the appeal for the non-compliance of wages. The appeal has been granted on the following findings:
Suspension of business licensing has been reduced from 30 days to 0 days. Suspension was based on a prior vender and non-compliance of wages. No current business relationship with prior and current suppliers.
Your Business License has been reinstated. Effective 02/25/23.
Compliance is effective starting today, February 25, 2024.
Standard Federal, State, and local wage laws and policies require compliance ordinances. City College maintains compliance by conducting routine reviews to ensure standards are followed. To report any non-compliance of wages, please contact Human Resources. We work hard to insure everyone is safe and successful working with City College and appreciate everyones hard work.
We are pleased to announce our recommendations and are happy to accept your compliance for future business. City College is behind you every step of the way.
Sincerely
KRISTYN THAXTON
