Mr. Farley has learned of your considerable skills in strategic analysis and has hired you as a consultant to develop a strategic plan that will enable Ford to improve its position in the automotive industry, continue to build a stronger financial position, and formulate a strategy concerning its future diversification or retrenchment from its existing lineup of businesses. In developing your recommendations, you should assess the automotive industry and the future of automobiles.
