Diana just completed her first Career Network meeting with someone she met through online networkingand it was great. She had found Erik through LinkedIn and was intrigued because his job sounded like her ideal stretch job. Although she hadn't heard of Erik's company, what she learned about his day-to-day tasks and the most important qualifications for his job was promising. Even though she didn't meet all the qualifications, Diana had great examples from her current job proving her ability to do the day-to-day tasks and meet similar challenges. Erik gave Diana his department manager's name and email address and told her to use his name in her email. Diana feels much more confident about applying for a stretch job like Erik's and is ready for her next Career Network meeting.
