Reginald is a 72-year-old who currently lives in his own home with his two sons who are 38 and 42. Reginald lost his wife to cancer six months ago and his sons moved in shortly after this as they said they wanted to make sure he was looked after now that he was alone. Reginald's sons Jack and Matty are currently unemployed and have always found it hard to keep steady employment. Because of this, they are currently dependent on their father's income from his pension to live.

Over the last 2 months, Reginald has had arguments with his sons about getting a job as he can't continue to afford to look after them anymore. He wanted them to be around because he was lonely after his wife Georgia died and thought it might be good to have family close by, however, doesn't feel like they are helping him at all. He is feeling like they are using him only for his money and his car and now can't go anywhere because fuel is expensive, and he only has a small amount of income from his pension.

Reginald was also planning to take a trip to Tasmania this year to release his wife's ashes, however, has realised that all the savings that he had put away for this trip is now missing from his room. Reginald confronted his sons about it a few days ago and his eldest son Jack said they took the money to buy groceries and get things he needed. Reginald thinks his sons have a drinking problem and that this is really where the money went as it was thousands of dollars that has been taken.

Reginald's church friend had come over to check on him this morning and noticed that he has lost a lot of weight and looked very, very sad. He has encouraged him to come in today and get some help.
