This is a very interesting chapter with many things that I learned about temperature and heat. I thought I understood heat and always believed it was an intrinsic characteristic. According to the textbook, "heat is energy in transit because of a temperature difference." The heat we feel is either the conduction, convection or radiation as the energy is transferring due to a temperature difference. Going from the higher temperature to a cooler one.
I also thought the concept of entropy was interesting and the different ramifications from understanding the idea of chaos and disorder on a system. It takes energy and output to ensure order. Without active input (isolated systems) disorder runs its course creating greater chaos in a system. This concept can be used to explain many things including the eventual collapse of the universe.
