A few years back I was introduced to reflective learning, during a course for basic problem-solving for maintainers. At the time I thought this tool was a waste of time. Over the years this has been a useful tool for gaining clarity on complex issues. The research paper was more challenging than I first expected for a writing course. Finding credible sources and making sure they align with my argument proved to be one of the hardest parts. Effective time management was another challenge for me. Balancing my career, course work and other priorities gave me some late nights. In the future, I will give myself twice as much time on projects and courses that are new topics for me. This should assist me in organizing what are the true requirements and what I have to learn to retain the information for future use. Writing has been a love-hate relationship for me most of my life.
