Hidalgos Jerseys Store is a small retail store. Hidalgo likes the business run the old fashioned way. But he would also like his daughters to take over the business as he is getting old and forgetful. He has decided to make certain changes his daughters think will help increase sales. He wants to make them happy. Hidalgos daughters designed a website to post all Jerseys available for sale. Customers can view the website to see the catalog of jerseys. While the customer can order online, Hidalgo requires all customers to come into the store to pick up the item. This way the customer may see the items quality first hand before making their purchase.

Paragraph 1: Order Legend Entity Hidalgos Jerseys Store uses a website to post the merchandise they offer. Data Flow The sales process is triggered by a customer accessing Hidalgos Jerseys Store catalog and deciding what and if to order. The customer presents their total purchase at a checkout location in the store. They receive a paper copy of the receipt when their sale is processed. This request is an authorization. When the NCC bank approves the sale, an approval code is sent back. This code is recorded in the detailed sales data. Occasionally sales are not approved by NCC banks. Paragraph 3: Inventory Reorder and Reconcile At the end of each week, Hidalgos daughters review the inventory master file and decide what items to reorder. For those items that are ordered, an email purchase order is sent to the preferred vendor. Items on order are indicated as such in the inventory master file. In order to reconcile the exact amount of inventory on hand, and to determine inventory sales, Hidalgo compares ordered and picked up items in the sales order database, to sales of inventory in detailed sales data, and to the inventory master file. Hidalgo will also count items on store floor and compare to the inventory master file. If he is unable to reconcile item shortages or overages, he will speak to sales clerks individually.
