Research Proposal

You have been appointed as the Accountant for a leading Social Media company based in Canberra, Australia. The company has been in operation since 2016, and has been facing some issues in relation to external audit compliance. In view of the auditing compliance issues, you have been delegated to carry out in-depth research into how the above can be resolved. As part of your purview, you would need to prepare a research proposal for presentation to the board of directors.

Please address each of the 7 requirements below in preparing the research proposal:-

1. Provide a problem statement for your research proposal. (2 Marks)
2. From the above problem statement, identify at least two (2) research objectives. (4 Marks)
3. For the above research objectives, prepare at least three (3) research questions. (6 Marks)
4. Identify some areas in accounting that you would propose to carry out your literature review for your research questions. (3 Marks)
5. Discuss the type (s) of research design that you would propose for the research project.

6. Provide details of your sampling strategy that you may suggest and your justification.

(2 Marks)

7. Finally, discuss the measurement scales that you would utilise in designing the questionnaire for the research. (2 Marks)
