Respectfully, I would ask my supervisor for a minute of his time to discuss his response about servant leadership. If in agreeance I would explain to him why I feel servant leaders are the best leaders. Starting with, listening & understanding each individual employee as this will lead to them producing better work as they feel valued and now value what they do more. By being persuasive rather than forceful gives an employee a sense of respect. That by being a manager/supervisor in the workplace and demonstrating humility in the way you work doesn't weaken the role of a leader but strengthens the servant leader and employee relationship. Treating someone as an equal versus being demanding and lacking empathy will produce better results in the workplace as well as within the workers. I would in my conclusion explain to them that if we as leaders educate and causes a growth plan for our employees this will lead to a smarter and hungrier organization as well as increases employee retention. Ultimately rolling over positively affecting the customer base. How long would you wait before your reengaged your supervisor about this subject? Would you allow time for him to rethink his position?
