For example, transportation methods such as rail and truck transport allow goods to be delivered quickly and safely from one point to another, which reduces the amount of time spent moving goods from one part of the supply chain to another. This increases the efficiency of the supply chain, as goods can be delivered faster, with fewer delays and less risk of damage. In conclusion, transport absolutely adds value to the supply chain.
