Case 2

Nadeem wanted to complete his bachelor's degree from USA. His paternal uncle Furqan Butt had promised him to pay Rs. 5 million by way of a gift, at the time of his admission to a college in USA. After getting admission to one of the renowned colleges in USA, Nadeem asked Furqan Butt to pay him Rs. 5 million as promised. However, Furqan Butt refused to pay the amount and Nadeem filed a suit against Furqan Butt for the enforcement of his promise. Analyze and discuss the circumstances in which Nadeem may be able to recover the amount from Furqan Butt.
