I have not yet had a leadership role in my place of work, but I have had experience with leadership roles that have given me experience within my sorority in my undergraduate studies. There were various occasions that were difficult during my run as the president of the organization, especially since I was given the role right before the COVID-19 pandemic struck, thus creating a time of such change and uncertainty. I recognize this leadership role is different from a leadership role in the workforce due to everyone in the organization choosing to be in it and us all being real friends outside of the structure of the sorority and its responsibilities. This created some difficulty when it came to dealing with decision making, especially when someone broke a rule of belief of the organization.
