1.)Think of a conflict you have had recently or that you observed among others that you feel was resolved in a positive manner.

I've recently had a conflict with my 20 year old daughter about cleaning her room.It was resolved in a positive manner.I'd asked her to clean her room because it was so unclean that it was starting to smell.She advised me that she is grown and would clean it when she had the time.I then advised her that I'd waited almost a month before I said anything to her about cleaning her room andas long as she lived under myroof and are not paying any bills, I still have a right as her "mother" to tell her to clean her room.The positive result is that she cleaned her room before the end of the day without any further delay.

2.)Next, think of a conflict you have had or observed that did not resolve positively.What was the difference?

I can remember seeing a conflict recently, in a training class that I attended.There was several people being disrespectful toward the trainer and in return there was an argument between the trainer and one of the disrepectful students.This resulted in a negative outcome before the student attacked the trainer by hitting the trainer and there was a fight.The security of the establishment had to remove the disruptive and belligerentsutdent.
