The OPS SGM is pivotal in helping staff ensure they are interpreting the commander's guidance and fully analyzing the situation and assets that are being applied to the situation. The OPS SGM also helps staff in a red team capacity or playing 'devil's advocate' to help ensure all facets are being considered
