Scenario- An example could be a survey that is done asking people about their symptoms of depression and anxiety. This survey might be done online and take 10 minutes. This should not harm anyone, right? Well, what if a person who answers the questions starts thinking about his or her symptoms and starts worrying to the point of becoming distressed? They have no one to talk to because the research was not done face-to-face. They feel awful.
