You are on shift at Wings, a residential youth service for homeless youth. Zac as a 13-year-old binary transgender boy from a regional area who has been referred to the Wings service. You are Zac's case manager.

He has been in three foster care placements (with family, otherwise known as 'kinship care') since he was eight.

Zac's mother was an Ice user who passed away two years ago. His father is unknown. The last foster placement was with an aunty and three cousins. Zac was raped by the oldest male cousin Jay (18).

Zac was arrested three months ago for stealing cars and it was his third offence. He has spent six weeks in juvenile detention and has now been granted early release.
