Search popular press (newspapers, newsmagazine, etc.) websites for information about an organization. The organization should be one you think is doing a good/poor job in keeping employees satisfied and/or committed. Answer the following questions: What made you select this organization? Do you think that job attitudes such as job satisfaction and organizational behavior influence work behavior in this organization? How does this organization affect its employees' attitudes? If the organization is doing a poor job of keeping its employees satisfied/committed, what costs may it face if it fails to consider worker attitudes? Did you find information about the organization that demonstrates it promotes job satisfaction or encourages commitment? Do you think our job-related attitudes affect our overall attitudes about life outside the workplace (e.g., attitudes about friends, family)? Overall, do you think that attitudes are important to organizations?
