These groups may host public meetings, organize community service, or provide tours. Your choice in organization is up to you, but it should be a group that you have not worked with before. Here are the criteria for an acceptable organization:

• Must be outside of the Illinois College community and be an organization with significant contribution to public life. Examples: Jacksonville City Government, Chamber of Commerce, School Board, Public Library, local historical associations & museums, Kiwanis Clubs or Rotary Clubs, Elks Lodge, volunteer associations. describes (A) the core mission of the organization that you choose, (B) a brief history of the organization, (C) how this organization enhances the local and/or national community, and (D) a reflection on what you observed and learned during your visit.
