Set the time and date to 7 am on February 1, 2024 and turn off daylight and the local horizon under Local View in Options. Find and center Venus by clicking on Venus and selecting Center, then zoom in until the field of view displayed in the lower left part of the screen is 3' x 1'. It is important not to drag the scene around after selecting Center. Set the time step interval to days, and run time forward continuously a couple years. Note how the size and phase of Venus appears to change over time. At what phase does Venus appear the largest ?
