Since he was young, Ben enjoyed collecting vintage toys. He frequently went to garage sales and flea markets in search of new old toys for his collection. As his collection grew, Ben developed the ability to fix broken toys and restore them to a workable state. Ben's reputation for being able to fix toys grew until he was able to open his own business "Ben's Toy Repair and Resale". In addition to housing his toy repair business, Ben's store featured numerous repaired classic toys for sale.

Last month Kyle took his vintage Magic 8-Ball to Ben's shop for repair. Ben agreed to inspect the toy to see if it was fixable, and Kyle agreed that he would authorize any repair that cost up to $30.
