Prepare an information pack for a client who is considering travelling to Paris, France. The client has advised

that they will be travelling with their elderly mother who, while quite fit and healthy, has significant hearing

loss. They prefer travelling in the cooler months but would like to avoid mid-winter if possible. They are very

interested in European history and art. They do not have any financial constraints for this trip.

The information pack should include enough information for the client to make an informed decision about the

suitability of this destination.

What to include?

- Features of the destination: climate, attractions, currency... (see list below)

- Tourism products / attractions (5 minimum): eg. Louvre Museum - basic description,

pictures

- Geographical features: Where is Paris located?

- Climate and seasons: Name the 4 seasons. Let them know which months are cooler but not

too cold.

- Health and safety

- Travel warnings

- Visas and passports

- Transport networks: How do they get there? How do they get around Paris?

- Services for hearing impaired

- Languages: What language is spoken in France? Can they get by with English?

- Currency and exchange rates

- Pictures

- Travel guide books and websites, such as Lonely Planet, Expedia, Flight Centre, Trip Advisor

- Smartraveller.gov.au

- Any other sources according to students' preferences, own experience
