So I am working in Adobe Illistrator and I have a new file open with $164$x$6$ artboards and my original AI design in the first artboard. My assignment is to make different crops of the original by putting them in a clipping mask and resizing them. I need help understanding what clipping masks do and how to set one up properly. The background needs to black as well. Thank you!
