Special Occasion Speech

 

I have chosen the Special Occasion " Birthday , " Wishing my sweet daughter a Happy Birthday will forever be one of my favorite things to do because I 'm so happy and grateful to have her in my life. She is my first baby and I have enjoyed motherhood to the fullest. I believe Birthday speeches are meant to those you care about and those of are more important in your life. I can not express enough how much unconditional love I have towards this amazing little girl.  I also cant wait to show her how much I value our time together I have chosen to make my speech heartfelt , yet light , and to show that my daughter and I have the most amazing relationship ever and we both have grown together . The goal of a Birthday speech is to share your relationship , and how important they are in your life and in general . I have decided to include a calm introduction to gain a calm yet sensitive energy and to introduce Elliana, my daughter. My daughter and I have so many adventures and I have learned patiences and sign language to each her. The organization structure of my speech is to introduce the topic and subject , then go slowly to who she is , how motherhood has changed my husband and I life around. I should use strong words and settlemental sentences . I should make eye contact , and a nice smile . I think I would improve my nervousness by trying to practice more . I would also improve how I gesture to the " audience . " I want my audience to see I am confident with what I am saying and able to make eye content while doing my speech.

 

The speech will be graded on the following:

· a strong hook (attention-catcher) at the beginning of the speech

· a strong and clear self-introduction

· a strong and clear introduction of the topic

· an appropriate event/venue

· the material was clear and well organized

· clear transitions and signposts throughout the speech

· a strong closing and final comment/thought

· it was within the time limits (4-5 minutes)

· the overall goal of preparing an effective special occasion speech was achieved
