Speech Outline - Speech of Introduction Introduction: There is special bond between a son and his father one that can't be broken Hi I am John Brandt and today in this speech ill be explaining how my father made me who I am today Transition statement: Let's begin... Body: Provide three major points o Major point #1 - My father always lead by example and taught me numerous things about life, from what I can a tell a major thing in a father and son relationship is father trying to prepare the son for the real world as much as he can, but there is a fine line. Sometimes you must let the son figure things out on his own and my father seemed to know this fine line very much he always made sure I knew to learn from my mistakes though. To this day I always make sure if I make a mistake, I learn from it and better myself from it Tell story as an example (concisely but compelling), can include visual aids. o Major point #2- My father also taught me manners and a great work ethic that I use everyday of my life as manners go its that no matter how rude a person is being to you that you always say please and thank you. You should always treat your elders with respect. Also, if you say something you better do it. As far as Work ethic goes, I was always told that no matter how hard it is you always work hard and the reward in the end will you show for your hard work, and that you should dream big but just always make sure to maintain a sense of reality Tell story and implications (concisely but compelling), can include visual aids.
Major point #3- To me the most important thing my father taught me was that that most important thing in life is happiness. He always told me that no matter what I do in life that happiness is all that matters because if you're happy with your life then what's the point. He said that I should always do things in my life that are going to lead my long-term happiness Tell story and implications (concisely but compelling), can include visual aids. Transition Statement: "I hope you now have a better understanding of who I am based on these three life experiences." Conclusion: These are the things that I carry with me every day in my life and these are the things that make me who I am today. Each day I also look forward to learning more things to better myself as a person. Without my father I don't know who I would be today, but I don't want to know because I like the person I am and hope each day to become a better person. Thank you
