Step 2- QUESTIONS AND INTERVIEW

Choose one segment/element of the project to which you have access (example: finance, personnel, production, or administration) and develop a questionnaire on key aspects of group process. The questionnaire should be no more than 5 questions drawn from the standardized questionnaires discussed in the course reading materials.

  • Submit your questionnaire to the course instructor prior to implementation.
  • (OPTIONAL) -Interview one employee working in your focus area on the topic of Group Processes using the questionnaire

Step 3-ANALYSIS

Reflecting on the Questions (Harrison, p61-64 and Appendix A) you developed, your interviews (if completed) and other data develop a 300-wd minimum response in which you:

  • Define your Project Organization'sprimary product deliverable.
  • Identify the focus of your Assessment and your Assessment Project criteria for evaluating group effectiveness and ineffectiveness (achievement of goals and objectives).
  • Discuss your initial thoughts on the strengths and weaknesses of the organization and of the area/unit/department you will assess.
  • Identify the elements of the Group Process you have chosen for your Milestone Project Assessment (Harrison-Appendix A: Person; Work Roles, Technology and Technology; Group Structures and Processes; Environment; Structure; Processes; Culture and Processes; Culture and Goals; Problems and Challenges; or Individual Satisfaction).
  • Discuss you decision making process on how you chose who would be interviewed and what questions would be asked.
  • Attach your interview questions
