We are analyzing Cats&Dogs, a pet hotel.

Customers bring their pet and leave it at the pet hotel for a while before they return and pick them up.

This pet hotel is open 24 hours a day. Around 30 pet owners come to the hotel every day. All pets are either cats or dogs, split evenly.

Owners arrive and then go to the front desk to check for available space. It takes 30 seconds for the representative to verify if space is available. If there is space for the pet, the representative checks the animal in, otherwise the disappointed owner and pet immediately leave. Taking all the necessary information for the check-in takes between 6 and 10 minutes.

After check-in the owner leaves the animal with the representative who installs the pet in one of the available pet rooms. This takes between 3 and 10 minutes. There are 6 dog rooms and 8 cat rooms.

Dog owners return to pick their pet after a duration of 7 hours on average with a standard deviation of 1 hour. Cat owners miss their pets more and tend to come back after 5 hours, with a standard deviation of 30 minutes.

When the pet owner returns, the representative takes the owners payment, which takes about 2 minutes to complete, after that, she gets the pet and returns it to the owner, which takes about 5 minutes. After this, the representative must immediately clean the pet room before it becomes available for another pet. The cleaning takes 8 minutes on average, whether for a cat or a dog room.
