Summary of Business Activities

When a customer places an order online, it is sent to the system.

The system checks if the product is available through inventory.

If it is available make the changes to the inventory to reflect the product change.

If it is not available alert the customer that the product is sold out.

The customer will pay for the order either online or in person.

The customer will receive an electronic receipt showing proof of purchase.

The order will then be sent to the system in the cafe to make the order.

The customer then comes to pick up the order, with the cashier closing the order in the system.

The payment is saved to the system and sent to accounting at the end of the day.

More inventory is ordered based off what was used throughout the day.

Develop a physical data flow diagram that shows both manual and automated processes (ex. Fig 7.19 in the textbook).
