Suppose that you start with a nondegenerate dictionary (all of the constant terms for the constraints are positive) and that after you pick the entering variable via the simplex method, there is not a tie for which variable should leave (so we don't need to use the "smallest subscript" tiebreaker part of the standard rule). Is it possible for the resulting dictionary to be degenerate? Explain why or why not.
