Task 1:Research the field of meteorology.

Although you may not be interested in becoming a meteorologist, weather affects us all every day. What you may not know is that a concept you have been studying in our College Algebra class is used quite often in the field. To begin this semester project, briefly perform each of the following:

Write an introductory paragraph, defining and describing the field of meteorology and what type of mathematics courses are needed to earn a degree in the field.

Also, write a paragraph describing each of the transformations discussed in our college algebra class and how they can be identified within the equation of a function. Also, explain how transformations may be useful in the field of meteorology.

NOTE: This is a math course. It is not expected that you write a full polished research paper with citations. Be clear and concise when expressing your understandings.

Suppose an x-y axis is superimposed on the map with its origin at Des Moines, Iowa.Also suppose a cold front is passing through the United States at noon having a shape roughly like a parabola with its vertex at Des Moines, Iowa and a vertical stretch/shrink factor of if both longitudinal and latitudinal distances are measured in hundreds of miles.
