"Tesla recalled 817,000 vehicles in the United States due to a problem with the seatbelt warning bell. According to the US auto safety regulator, this warning buzzer may not activate when the vehicle starts operating while the driver has not fastened the seat belt The cars being recalled in this case are the 2021-2022 Model S and Model X, 2017-2022 Model 3 and 2020-2022 Model Y. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) explained that several Tesla cars failed to meet federal motor vehicle safety standards on the Occupant Crash Protection criteria because the warning feature was not active. Tesla also revealed that this feature failed due to a software glitch. In this issue, Tesla is working on a software over-the-air (OTA). This is the second case experienced by Tesla. Previously, Tesla recalled 553,822 units of its cars. This is because of the safety risks posed by the Full-Self-Driving system in some units. The vehicles are the 2016-2022 Model S and X, the 2017-2022 Model 3, and the 2020-2022 Model Y. Previously, it was also reported that Tesla had recalled more than 50 thousand units of its electric car after an error was found in the Full-Self-Driving system software that could pose a risk to user safety."
