Thank you Ritchelle. Math word problems always seem to be such a problem for students so this connection is wonderful and very useful. In this case, what do you think you would do if the students seem to be having trouble with the reading aspect but ultimately get the answer correctly? So in other words, you clearly know the reading area is in deficit but your focus is on math and they actually get the question correct. Would that worry you?
