The Baltimore County police have just arrested John Doe on charges ofarmed robbery. Mr. Doe is legally indigent, and this is his first arrest. Given what you know about the criminal justice system, please answer the following questions:

  1. How are the prosecutor and public defender most likely to proceed with this case?
  2. Why are they likely to proceed in this manner?
  3. What benefits and/or liabilities do you see in the way this process works?

Can someone help me elaborate on what I wrote at the bottom please? I am stuck on what else to say.

First, the prosecutor and the public defender has to prove that John Doe is a legal indigent with a certificate of indigency which implies that he will still be grant indigency which then ensures that even he has involved himself in an arguable case, he will still have access to justice and justice system that he deserves given that he does not have adequate resources to fund and resolve this himself.Secondly, provision of defense services should still be granted to Joe. He may be proved to be suspect of the case, but this will not directly out him in jail but a careful study of the causes of the crime should be determined prior to judgement by the law, authorities and jurisdiction. Also this case of Joe, which is armed robbery, like any other crimes may mean being sentenced to in prison for years. So, this means that the accused when proven guilty will incur so much penalties as well as longer life sentence in prison. This is no joke, that is why the public defender and the prosecutor have to consider actions before, during, and after the robbery, that only the accused and victims are able to speak out the hearing. As stated, being arrested for armed robbery, especially for the first time, does not automatically equate to being found guilty of the crime. The justice system, where ever we are at, is so complex and without the help of a public defender who is skilled enough in dealing with the case, will possibly put the accused's life and future in total risk and danger. There are many ways that the defendant and even convicted of actions he or she really did not do.Fortunately, we now have a transparent justice system to deeply assess criminal casesand develop the best strategies to help us through the trial processes. However, there were still places with poor and weak justice system, that provision of a transparent judgement over trials is so impossible. We, people have to be knowledgeable enough of our rights so we could have plans and strategies to defend ourselves or ask a skilled public defender to do it and speak for us. Looking at Joe's situation, it will be a matter of concern for all the people to be aware of what consequences might happen if we commit ourselves to crimes we do not really want to happen. It is also an eye-opener for the justice system and the government to do not jump to conclusions easily, but the laws and trial process should be effectively bringing the truth out of whatever crime.
