The brain region chosen is cerebellum. The behavior controlled by the cerebellum is balance and helps coordinate movement. The frontal lobe controls movement, with the cerebellum helping with fine motor skills. The pons allow the cerebellum and frontal lobe to communicate through synaptic communication.

The lesion stories that were shared were from some time ago. At the time they were done, they were helpful for the advancement of understanding and knowledge. Neuroimaging techniques allow for further research and can be done without harm. Hypotheses should always be tested to ensure their accuracy and for further understanding.

If synaptic release were altered, the communication would decrease, and this would hinder processing. Cocaine can inhibit the synaptic transmission. It can block the dopamine transporter, causing dopamine to build up (Matusi, 2008). This can cause euphoria. While euphoria is not necessarily a bad thing, it can cause many physical changes. Some of these are elevated temperature and blood pressure and an overconfidence. This can lead someone to believe they can do things they are not capable of doing, which can lead to injury.
