Your class project will consist of the forensic collection, examination, and submission of evidence you've identified. After careful examination and analysis, you will weigh the evidentiary value of what you found and decide the outcome of your case.

Your first written submission is due this week. The second and third parts of the assignment will be due in Units 6 and 7, respectively. Each part builds upon the next as you build the case file. The thorough and detailed critical thinking, documentation, and research that you include in your project will come together as a case file. The final project should be an APA cited/formatted document that is a minimum of 10 pg of content in length.

It is extremely important that the integrity of evidence is preserved during the evidence collection at the crime scene and packaged for transport to the crime lab. You will identify, collect, and package evidence of the presented crime scene appropriately. After studying the materials provided to you:

1. Detail your recording and documenting of the crime scene.
2. Complete all appropriate logs (e.g. evidence log sheet, etc.) for what you have identified and collected as possible evidence, personnel on the scene, etc.
3. Describe the collection and packaging of each piece of evidence for submission to the crime lab.
