The challenge faced by Namibian communities is obtaining clean water and proper sanitation, which raises health risks and causes daily inconveniences.
Prototype & Test Stages
Begin by reviewing the ideas and solutions discussed in the ideation stage of your group project. You will need to choose the best idea that solves the issue based on user insight and
needs.
Using the selected idea, begin the process of building a physical prototype. Remember that the prototype does not need to be perfect; it is a representation of your proposed solution.
You may use common items such as paper, cardboard, tape, pens, etc. for your initial prototype.
Once your initial prototype is completed, conduct a user testing session. You can invite individuals who reflect your target users to engage with the prototype. They should interact with
the prototype as they would in a real-life setting.
Carefully observe and record feedback during user testing. This could include how the user interacts with the prototype, any difficulties or issues they encounter, their overall experience,
and their suggestions for improvement.
Based on the feedback received during user testing, revise and refine your prototype. You may need to go through this step multiple times until you are satisfied that you have a viable
solution that meets the needs of your users.
Once you have refined your prototype based on user feedback, present the final version to your peers and teacher, highlighting the problem, your ideation process, and how your final
prototype solves the problem based on user needs.
