The Development of Romantic Relationships Apply the model of romantic relationship development to a romantic relationship that you are in or one you were in. (If you don't have any experience in romantic relationships of your own, you may choose another, real romantic relationship whose development you have personally witnessed (your parents, a sibling, a best friend, a close co-worker, etc). This must be a real relationship you analyze. First, give me some background information on the relationship - just what I need to know to understand your analysis - how did you meet, how long were you together, are you still together, etc. (at least 1 paragraph) Then, if the relationship is over, explain the relationship in terms of the stages our textbook describes. Did you go through each stage? How do you know? Was your communication in each state consistent with what the book describes? Roughly how long were you in each stage? Be thorough with your descritpion of each stage. For example, in the Growth stage, the text describes 6 growth stages. Describe all that applied to your relationship.
