The first material from relates to labor. What do you believe happened to wages in the United States, the last few decades? If you speak with someone who worked in the 70's in the US, they will tell you that they were paid a living wage, in addition to having a series of benefits, including health, profit sharing etc, which allowed them to say they were paid a living wage. As time went on, these benefits started to disappear as they wages stayed stagnant, many work today getting paid low wages, no benefits and without job protection or permanency.

How does that translates to poverty? Google and see what is the Federal Government definition of Poverty Level Guidelines, and compare them with real cost of living, in other words, would any individual or family for instance be able to pay 'rent', buy 'groceries' with those wages?

For this discussion, start with how do you see 'wage levels impact poverty'. You can bring anything up into this discussion, but try to keep them connected.
