8207 TABLE OF CONTENTS :5 Submission: The report, including all relevant graphs and numerical analysis along with interpretations Format for report: A. Brief Introduction B. Discuss 1st individual variable, using graphical, numerical summary and interpretation C. Discuss 2nd individual variable, using graphical, numerical summary and interpretation D. Discuss 3rd individual variable, using graphical, numerical summary and interpretation E. Discuss 1st pairing of variables, using graphical, numerical summary and interpretation F. Discuss 2nd pairing of variables, using graphical, numerical summary and interpretation G. Discuss 3rd pairing of variables, using graphical, numerical summary and interpretation H. Conclusion Part A: Grading Rubric Graphical analysis, numerical analysis (when appropriate), and interpretation Three individual variables - 12 point each Graphical analysis, numerical analysis (when appropriate), and interpretation Three relationships - 15 points each Writing, grammar, clarity, E Communication 19 19% logic, cohesiveness, _I-=II \"Alma... anlln nnnnnn ta \"an AL...- In G devryu.instructure.com 8207 TABLE OF CONTENTS :5 Part A: Exploratory Data Analysis Preparation 0 Open the files for the course project and the data set. 0 For each of the five variables, process, organize, present and summarize the data. Analyze each variable by itself using graphical and numerical techniques of summarization. Use Excel as much as possible, explaining what the results reveal. Some of the following graphs may be helpful: stem- leaf diagram, frequency/relative frequency table, histogram, boxplot, dotplot, pie chart, bar graph. Caution: not all of these are appropriate for each of these variables, nor are they all necessary. More is not necessarily better. In addition be sure to find the appropriate measures of central tendency, the measures of dispersion, and the shapes of the distributions (for the quantitative variables) for the above data. Where appropriate, use the five number summary (the Min, Q1, Median, QB, Max). Once again, use Excel as appropriate, and explain what the results mean. - Analyze the connections or relationships between the variables. There are ten possible pairings of two variables. Use graphical as well as numerical summary measures. Explain the results of the analysis. Be sure to consider all 10 pairings. Some variables show clear relationships, while others do not. @eport Reauirements G devryu.instructure.com Sheet1 Project Data SALESCALL Type Average of Years (X3) GROUP 2.482758621 NONE 1.777777778 ONLINE 2.245283019 Sum of Years (X3) by Type 5 4 3 2 0 GROUP NONE ONLINE\"ail Project Data SALESCALL mmm 37 1 31 1 6.9 2 GROU P 44 134 19.4 3 GROUP 33 139 19.3 3 GROUP 40 145 14.7 2 GROUP 35 149 15.6 1 GROUP 47 149 15.8 1 GROUP 26 150 14.9 2 GROUP 39 1 50 1 5.3 3 GROU P 47 1 51 1 6.6 2 GROU P 25 1 52 1 5.0 3 GROU P 41 152 1415 4 GROUP 49 153 19.0 3 GROUP 42 154 14.3 2 GROUP 42 1 54 1 5.3 1 GROU P 25 1 55 1 7.9 1 GROU P 45 1 56 1 3.2 3 GROU P 50 1 57 1 5.9 3 GROU P 44 159 14.6 2 GROUP 42 161 13.2 1 GROUP 48 162 14.5 4 GROUP 41 164 17.8 3 GROUP 67 166 18.9 1 GROUP 44 168 12.4 2 GROUP 43 169 14.0 5 GROUP 22 170 14.3 4 GROUP 46 172 14.7 3 GROUP 43 1 75 1 3.6 5 GROU P 49 178 18.3 2 GROUP 44 192 1617 1 GROUP 25 130 12.8 2 NONE 36 131 1 1.7 3 NONE 35 131 21.6 1 NONE 36 131 18.5 0 NONE 49 131 14.6 1 NONE 37 132 10.0 3 NONE 38 135 18.5 3 NONE 22 139 16.9 4 NONE 39 140 12.4 0 NONE 42 140 17.5 3 NONE 37 142 13.9 2 NONE 25 143 15.4 1 NONE 50 144 15.8 2 NONE 22 145 1910 2 NONE 50 148 16.0 0 NONE 67 155 17.9 1 NONE 37 159 18.1 0 NONE 39 160 14.3 4 NONE 45 138 15.3 2 ONLINE 36 140 15.7 1 ONLINE 39 144 17.7 1 ONLINE 41 149 17.3 0 ONLINE 45 149 13.5 1 ONLINE 42 152 14.6 1 ONLINE 44 153 15.3 2 ONLINE 41 155 16.0 2 ONLINE 44 156 20.0 0 ONLINE 40 157 15.4 1 ONLINE 34 158 14.2 3 ONLINE 41 159 18.8 2 ONLINE 43 160 10.9 4 ONLINE 44 160 1418 2 ONLINE 43 161 17.3 3 ONLINE 46 163 16.6 2 ONLINE 44 165 1517 3 ONLINE 44 165 12.4 3 ONLINE 48 167 14.8 3 ONLINE 42 168 16.4 0 ONLINE 44 168 1 1.0 5 ONLINE 41 170 12.3 0 ONLINE 45 170 14.2 1 ONLINE 48 170 17.4 5 ONLINE 46 171 14.9 5 ONLINE 48 171 13.0 5 ONLINE 30 173 17.5 1 ONLINE 43 174 12.7 2 ONLINE 45 174 13.6 2 ONLINE 40 176 12.6 1 ONLINE 21 177 17.0 0 ONLINE 41 178 13.4 2 ONLINE 49 178 15.1 3 ONLINE 49 178 16.4 2 ONLINE 51 178 16.5 1 ONLINE 41 180 14.0 2 ONLINE 42 181 11.5 4 ONLINE 48 182 13.0 2 ONLINE 46 183 15.4 4 ONLINE 46 184 12.7 5 ONLINE 52 184 1 1.4 4 ONLINE 21 185 18.9 2 ONLINE 47 186 13.5 3 ONLINE 48 186 14.2 1 ONLINE 4B 138 13.6 0 ONLINE 48 188 1 1'3 2 ONLINE 50 189 14.3 1 ONLINE 56 189 15.0 3 ONLINE 40 191 1910 5 ONLINE 52 193 13.7 5 ONLINE 42 194 13.6 2 ONLINE 41 198 13.2 2 ONLINE 48 201 12.5 1 ONLINE 8207 TABLE OF CONTENTS ;= Report Requirements 0 From the variable analysis above, provide the analysis and interpretation for three individual variables. This would include no more than 1 graph for each, one or two measures of central tendency and variability (as appropriate), the shapes of the distributions for quantitative variables, and two or three sentences of interpretation. 0 For the 10 pairings, identify and report only on three of the pairings, again using graphical and numerical summary (as appropriate), with interpretations. Please note that at least one pairing must include a qualitative variable and at least one pairing must not include a qualitative variable. 0 Prepare the report in Microsoft Word, integrating graphs and tables with text explanations and interpretations. Be sure to include graphical and numerical back up for the explanations and interpretations. Be selective in what is included in the report to meet the requirements of the report without extraneous information. o All DeVry University policies are in effect, including the plagiarism policy. 0 Project Part A report is due by the end of Week 2. 0 Project Part A is worth 100 total points. See grading rubric below. Submission: The report, including all relevant graphs and numerical analysis along with W ternretations G devryu.instructure.com
