Her employer provided her with a 4-roomed flat in which to live during the tax year. This flat was furnished and Max paid for electricity used. Max Ltd owns the flat.
In the prior tax year, Abongile received a salary of R 188950 and a travel allowance of R 40000.(i.e.,80% x R 50000).
Abongile paid annual pension fund contributions of R 30000.
Abongile was the sole member of a medical aid fund and her employer paid her monthly contributions of R 1780.
Abongile was in an accident during the year and as a result had medical bills of R 51880 that were not covered by her medical aid fund.
