The following steps shall be performed **3**times, once for dd, once for rsync, and once for a backup tool of your choice (examples: Amanda, CloneZilla, fwbackups, etc).

* For each backup tool (of the**three**mentioned above), do the following:

1) Obtain a <= 32GB USB thumb drive or other storage material upon which to make a backup.

2)Place some files in the file-system of your installation. (This step is to make changes to the file-system tree that you will easily notice later.)

3) Using your backup tool, make a backup of the installation. (If the installation does not fit on your backup

media, you may make a partial backup which captures the changes you made in step #2.)
