The Human Resources Ministry, through the Social Security Organization (SOCSO), said that the

Wage Subsidy Programme is expected to benefit the employers who are affected by the economic

impact of the Covid-19 outbreak in Malaysia. This programme is a part of several initiatives through

the Prihatin Rakyat Economic Stimulus package as announced by the Prime Minister . It is also an

extension of the Employment Retention Programme (ERP).
